The main thing would be our extensive experience and the framework we have put together regarding manufacturing products, involving battery energy storage products.

We are a professional subcontracting manufacturer. We know how to assemble products and are always willing to learn more. Our proactive and problem-solving attitude helps our customers every day.

Locations, deliveries

Where are you located?

Leden Group factories are in Finland and in Estonia. HQ is in the city of Oulu

We are constantly delivering to large international customer locations to Europe, China, India, USA to mention some. In Finland, we are located near all the major transportation routes, airports and ports. In Estonia, Tallinn, quite busy logistics hub, is nearby our factory. This means we are cost-effective in logistics costs.

Quoting, starting business

What is your quote leadtime?

Normally our quotation lead time 3-4 weeks. More simple products or few lines in RFQs we can quote in one week. Products which involves a lot of purchased parts and complex assembly are discussed case-by-case. 4-6 weeks is usually enough in these cases.

Simple products goes to production normally in our order-delivery process. Complex production start goes into project management and is carefully managed to ramp-up.

Safety

How do you ensure safety in your operations?

We have certified processes according to ISO 45001 in all functions. Also ISO 14001 concerns this topic.

This means we have processes, audit, measurements and risk management in place regarding all aspects of safety.

Which quality systems you have in place?

We are certified with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001: 2018.

We constantly focus on contious improvement. Relevant personnel are trained for Lean Six Sigma.

Products with batteries

Which parts of battery modules and cabinets are you capable to manufacture?

We can take care of the full assembled and tested product. Sheet metal and other metal parts we generally manufacture ourselves. We manage purchased parts and the whole supply chain from order to delivery.

We have discussed and checked with relevant officials which requirements and procedures we must follow and fulfill. Nowadays we have internal guidelines and risk management processes in place for the full portfolio of topics related in working with batteries. There are variety of safety topics including handling, electric shock, warehousing, assembly process, logistics, environmental, fire etc..

Fire resistance and safety have been checked with insurance agency and fire department. Warehouse has access control, temperature and moisture control with data logging. Batteries need to be in certain temperature and humidity range to be able to maintain their usual storage lifetime.

We can store high amount of batteries in safe and secure conditions taking care of the lifetime of the batteries.

What documents and formats do you need for pricing?

– Mechanics drawings: PDF drawings for individual parts and 3D STEP file. Or 3D files for individual parts and assemblies in .asm and .prt. Please include parts list for assemblies.

– Material and parts BOM including description, manuf. part number, customer code if any, amount per product, prices and sources if you have. Purchased parts current sources and prices will speed up the pricing process.

– Harnesses: Drawings and assembly instructions, BOM

– Printed wiring boards assemblies (PCA, PCBA, PWBA, PWA) Layout, layers, PCB specification, BOM (with prices and sources if you have)

– Assembly drawings and instructions, test instructions and any additional documentation to evaluate assembly times, floor space and so on.
