Leden Invests in Modern Technology to Meet the Growing Demand for Busbars – End Uses Include Backup Power Systems for Data Centers

Leden is investing in modern technology to meet the growing demand for busbars and is acquiring a new flatbed machine suitable for aluminum and copper materials for its factory on Hopeatie in Nivala.

This investment supports the company’s goal of expanding as a contract manufacturer of busbars. Busbars are used in electrical power systems and equipment for transmitting and distributing electrical current. Leden supplies busbars for various applications, with recent typical examples being backup power systems (UPS) for data centers.

“Leden is currently making a significant factory investment in Oulainen, but the company’s goal is to keep its technology modern and competitive at all its production sites in both Finland and Estonia. With the investment in the flatbed machine, busbar production is expanding to the Nivala factory, which can also flexibly offer subcontracted coating for aluminum products. This creates an efficient, fast, and more ecological production chain for customers. Additionally, the investment supports the company’s existing production by freeing up capacity for other machines and enabling business growth,” says Jukka Haapalainen, CEO of Leden Group.
