Smart production creates cost savings for customers. We provide our insight at an early stage in the process. We optimize material usage and streamline the production process.
Making intelligent decisions at the beginning of a production process improves product quality and reduces lead time during serial production.
The Leden Start service includes actions, discussions, evaluations, setup, agreements, and other relevant topics required before commencing serial production, often referred to as the new product introduction process.
We conduct design evaluations of parts and assemblies to reduce costs and lead times. We employ prototyping, pilot projects, and the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for components, enhancing material selection in collaboration with the customer. We also collaborate with selected suppliers to prototype customized third-party parts, such as harnesses and electronic circuit board assemblies (PCBA). Our approach involves proactive production cell predesign and tooling pre-selection when quoting more complex product assemblies.
An integral part of our process is conducting supply-chain evaluations and collaborating with our customers’ teams for supplier selection. We prioritize sourcing parts and materials from local suppliers and manufacturers to reduce costs. Additionally, we assess inbound and outbound logistics processes based on end-customer locations to optimize efficiency. Early in the process, we engage in discussions, evaluations, and the establishment of traceability processes.
The Leden Start service also provides project management for the introduction of complex assembly products and systems as part of the new product introduction process. This service entails planning activities, evaluating production requirements, and proactively scheduling prototype, pilot, and serial production phases to ensure a timely transition to serial production. It encompasses the planning, coordination, and execution of tasks from concept development to production and distribution.
We won’t dictate actions; in our view, the customer bears responsibility and makes the ultimate decisions. Our role is to offer expert advice drawn from our extensive experience. We engage in discussions concerning forecasted availability, raw material, and parts inventory, as well as the warehousing of semi-finished and finished goods.
Finally, we’ll assist with product documentation to compile and organize all relevant information. You’ll always have access to the master documentation. Our Leden enterprise resource planning (ERP) system tracks product revisions, documentation, and inventory, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information organization-wide.
